When we surrender our plans to God’s plans, we receive huge doses of hope! His Plans never fail

Surrender to God’s Purposes
Plans to Prosper

Scripture: Jeremiah 29:11

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

I want you to focus on this wonderful passage from God’s Word as we conclude this month’s theme. It is so rich in truth, especially as it relates to being led by God through our surrender to His purposes.

First, please take note: God has plans for you! I love that fact. The God of the universe knows me and has plans for me… I feel significant! We are not a faceless number to God. He sees us, loves us, and has a place for each of us in His overall plan for this world.

Second, rejoice in the goal of God’s plan for us: to prosper us. Don’t let your mind box in the word “prosper” to mean only money. Would you agree that lottery winners of millions, who lost the love of their families in the process, were not really prospered? God’s plans will truly prosper us…in every way. Yes, our material needs will be provided, but more importantly, our emotional and relational needs will be prospered as well! If you can believe this, surrendering to God’s purposes will be no problem.

Finally, God’s purposes will give us hope as we face our future! We live in a scary world; there is an epidemic of hopelessness. When we surrender our plans to God’s plans, we receive huge doses of hope! Determine to turn all “bad news” you hear today into hope-filled stories. Why can we do that? God has made us a promise: Romans 8:28 – And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to His purpose.

Father, I receive your plans with great hope…thank you for taking note of me and making plans for me. No matter what – I will rejoice in you – today! In Jesus’ Name, amen.
