Fear Factors

“But the Lord is faithful!” Do you believe that? Take a moment and think of all the reasons why!

Fear of the Future – The Need for Clarity
Our Future is Safe

Scripture: 2 Thessalonians 3:3

But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen and protect you from the evil one.

When we are waiting on someone to come through for us in some important area of our lives, we can get stressed out. Our stress level is based on how faithful we believe this person is… or has been in the past. If they have a “spotty” record of coming through for us, we usually have high stress levels for their future performance.

The apostle starts with this premise: “But the Lord is faithful!” Do you believe that? If so – why? Take a moment and recount the times the Lord has been faithful in your life. Let’s be honest, there are times when things don’t turn out the way we had hoped. It’s in these times we must believe God sees something that we can’t and is doing the right thing. Once we enjoy the wisdom of Heaven, we’ll agree with all God’s decisions! Yes, the Lord is faithful. We need not stress out over anything in our future.

God’s faithfulness will bring strength to us for every challenge we will face. No need to fear the future; one thing is clear – He will strengthen us – every single time. Remember, if we are stressing, we are forgetting the extreme faithfulness of our God! The more you trust, the less you’ll stress!

The last thing Paul adds to God’s faithfulness is His protection from the evil one. God is never sleeping when it comes to watching over His children from the schemes and attacks of the devil. No, it won’t be easy. And, yes, we must give it our all in fighting these attacks, but God is faithful… we can count on Him!

Father, I do see my future – and in you, it is bright and victorious. I’m confident in your strength and protection. In Jesus’ Name, amen.
